Best practices for Aftermarket Catalogs

We DO NOT recommend attempting to delete or rename Categories created by Aftermarket Catalogs with active subscriptions. These will be rebuilt on each Catalog update.
We DO NOT recommend attempting to remap Aftermarket Catalog Product Groups. These mappings will be overwritten on each Catalog update.
We DO recommend hiding unwanted Aftermarket Categories when possible. Categories will not un-hide themselves on Catalog update.
We DO recommend deleting unwanted Aftermarket Product Groups when the Category cannot be hidden. Please note that updated models and related products may appear from active Aftermarket Catalogs on update.
If a Category with Aftermarket Ecommerce Items remains problematic with the above options we recommend hiding the Category and re-creating desired products as Private Catalog items.

Best practices for Private Catalogs

Private Catalog Product Groups can be Mapped to Categories and deleted freely as dealers are responsible for adding all Private Catalog data.
We DO recommend creating new Categories for Private Catalog Product Groups. New Categories for Private Catalogs ensure your Categories will not change and will not be affected by automated Ecommerce Catalog management.

Use of Aftermarket Categories for Private Catalog Product Groups may result in loss of data if those Aftermarket Categories change. Use Aftermarket Categories for Private Catalog Groups at your own risk, and make sure to keep records of any Private Catalog Product and Product Group data added.
