Pricing
Why is my Total Price different from my Base Price?
When the Main Price Display is set to calculate Total Price, Total Price = Base Price + the fees that apply to the unit − Dealer Discounts. It can be higher or lower than Base Price. Check the unit's Base Price, fee values, and discounts in Inventory Manager, and confirm the Main Price Display setting in Price Box Settings.
Why does my unit show "Get a Quote" instead of a price?
The unit's Base Price is 0 or blank. Enter a Base Price greater than 0 in Inventory Manager.
Why don't my list page (VLP) and detail page (VDP) prices match?
They should always match. First confirm you are comparing units with the same New or Used settings, since the two are configured separately. If the prices still differ after you save the unit, contact Support with the unit URL and screenshots of both pages.
Why doesn't my payment calculator estimate match the Total Price?
Payment tools such as MotoMate and Payment Genie currently calculate from Base Price, not Total Price. The same applies to Reserve a Unit, Price Drop Alert, lead emails, and prices sent to third-party marketplaces and syndication feeds.
Does Price Box work with rental inventory?
No. Rental inventory is not supported.
Fees and Discounts
Why isn't a fee showing on my VDP?
A fee appears when the unit has a value for it, or when the fee is set to show in Price Box Settings and has a default value. If a fee is hidden globally and the unit has no value for it, it is left out of both the breakdown and the Total Price. Enter a value on the unit or turn on the fee in Price Box Settings.
Why is a fee showing even though I hid it?
A fee with a value entered on a specific unit always appears and counts toward the Total Price, even if the fee is hidden globally. To remove it from that unit, clear the field or set it to $0.
Why did a fee row disappear after I entered a value?
Fees and discounts of exactly $0 are not displayed.
Why does a fee show a different amount than my default?
A value saved on a unit overrides your default. This includes values that arrive from your DMS and values saved as $0. Clear the unit's field to use your default. If the value is coming from your DMS, contact Integrations Support so the mapping can be reviewed.
A fee I entered changed on its own. Why?
If the fee is mapped from your DMS, each DMS update replaces the value. Enter values manually only for fees that are not mapped from your DMS.
I see a fee value in Inventory Manager, but it doesn't appear on my VDP. What should I check?
Confirm that your site is set to the standard Price Box display, that the unit's value is greater than $0, and that the fee is set to show in Price Box Settings for the correct New or Used inventory. If it still doesn't appear, contact Support.
Can I create my own fee types?
Not at this time. You can use and rename the five standard fees: Freight/Delivery, Preparation/Setup, Dealer Administrative Fee, Upfitting/Customization, and Other Mandatory Fees. If you want to use a fee for something other than its standard purpose, contact Support first. Changing the label alone is not enough, because your DMS data and unit values need to be updated to match.
MSRP, Dealer Retail, and Savings
Why isn't MSRP showing?
Check that the unit has an MSRP, that Reference Price is set to MSRP in Price Box Settings, and that Dealer Retail isn't selected instead. Only one reference price can be active at a time.
Why isn't the savings message showing?
Check that Savings Display is turned on, that the matching reference price (MSRP or Dealer Retail) is entered on the unit, and that the savings amount is greater than $0.
Can I change the wording of my labels?
Yes. You can edit label text, such as the MSRP and Dealer Retail labels, in Price Labels in Price Box Settings. New and Used inventory are configured separately, so update each. You can also rename the five standard fees. To hide the reference price line, set Reference Price to none. To hide the savings message, set Savings Display to none. You are responsible for making sure your label wording complies with your OEM's pricing policy and applicable FTC guidance.
Website Display
I turned on Price Box, but my site still shows the old pricing. Why?
Price Box must be enabled for your dealership, and then you switch Standard Price Box Styling from the legacy display to the standard display in Price Box Settings. Until you make that switch, your site continues to show legacy pricing. If you are not sure whether the Price Box has been enabled for your dealership, contact Support.
Why isn't Price Box showing on my listing pages?
Price Box always appears on vehicle detail pages. Showing it on listing pages is a setting you choose, and New and Used inventory can be set differently.
Why do I see two different prices, an extra price label, or a broken pricing widget?
A third-party pricing script or legacy customization on your site is probably still active. When the standard display is on, all pricing must appear inside the Price Box. Contact Support to review and disable the conflicting script.
Why does a message in my site footer contradict the Price Box?
A custom script on your site, such as a footer disclaimer about excluded fees, may conflict with the Price Box fee messaging. Contact Support to have the script removed or corrected.
Why does the Live Preview look different from my website?
The Live Preview shows the same values and behavior as your website. It isn't a pixel-for-pixel match, because your website applies your own theme styling, fonts, and colors. If a value is wrong or a function is missing, contact Support.
General
How do I go back to legacy pricing?
Open Price Box Settings, select Change next to Standard Price Box Styling, and choose the legacy display. Your previous pricing returns, and you can switch back to the standard display at any time. Custom scripts that were disabled for the Price Box may need to be recreated.
Does Price Box guarantee my pricing is compliant?
No. The Price Box provides tools designed to support pricing transparency and OEM advertising requirements. You are responsible for your pricing practices, disclosure wording, labels, and website configuration. Review your OEM's pricing policy and applicable FTC guidance.
What should I include when I contact Support?
Your dealership name, the unit URL, screenshots, what you expected to see, what you actually see, and the unit's price and fee values from Inventory Manager.
