The Facebook Marketplace Posting Application lets you share your website inventory to Facebook Marketplace from a Windows PC.

This integration is managed outside of the Admin Panel.

Installation Instructions

Install the Chrome web browser on your device if you don't already have it.
1. You can download Chrome from here.
Next download the Posting Tool by clicking here.
Run the application once downloaded.
1. You may see a security prompt like this when running the application:
2. If so, click the More Info button and then Run Anyway.
After that the Setup Wizard will appear. Click the Next button to proceed.
Click Next again.
Then click Next one more time to confirm installation.
A screen may pop up asking if you want to allow this app to make changes to your files. Click Yes. This will allow the tool to post in the background.
The application will now install. Once done the screen will say Installation Complete. Then just click the Close button.

Logging In to the Posting Application

Start by opening the application. Open the shortcut on your desktop or click the Windows icon on your taskbar and type "Auction123 Facebook Marketplace Posting Tool".
Log in using your credentials.
If you have access to multiple accounts, you will see a page where you can select which account to access. Choose the account you want to post to.
Now enter your Facebook user name and password.
If you have two factor authentication enabled, you will be prompted to enter that next.
You will now be logged into the application.

Using the Posting Application to Post Inventory

Start by opening the application and logging in. See above for instructions on logging in.
After logging in, you'll see a table of inventory units. From here, you can select the units you would like to post.
You can select multiple units by holding down the CTRL key and clicking each unit you want to post. You can also click the Select All checkbox if you want to post all units.
Next you'll select which Facebook page to post to using the FB Page dropdown menu at the bottom of the window. You can select to post to marketplace from a personal account or business page (recommended). The menu will show all Facebook accounts connected to Facebook Marketplace for your login.
We recommend posting to business pages whenever possible, but some Facebook accounts may only have access to post to personal pages.
Once you have selected the units you want to post and the page you want to post to, click the Post Vehicles button to start transferring data.
You can now minimize the posting tool and let it do its work in the background. It will go through the process and let you know when it's done posting each unit in the Results section. Leave the application open until it has posted all units.

Using the Posting Application to Remove Inventory

Start by opening the application and logging in. See above for instructions on logging in.
After logging in, you'll see a table of inventory units. Click the Remove From Marketplace tab at the top of the window.
Next click the Download Vehicles From Your Account button.
Your active units will appear. Now select the units you would like to remove.
You can select multiple units by holding down the CTRL key and clicking units you want to remove. You can also click the Select All checkbox if you want to remove all units.
When you've selected the units you want to pull, click the Remove Vehicles From Your Account button to start transferring data.
You can now minimize the posting tool and let it do its work in the background. It will go through the process and let you know when it's done posting each unit in the Results section. Leave the application open until it has posted all units.

Uninstalling the Posting Application

Click the Windows icon on your taskbar.
Type "add or remove programs" and click it from the results.
Scroll down the page until you find Auction123 Facebook Posting Tool.
Click it and then click Uninstall.
A window may pop up asking if you want to allow this app to make changes to your device. Click Yes.
The program will now be deleted from your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why isn't my inventory showing in the Posting Tool?

Only used inventory can be posted to Facebook Marketplace. Inventory listed as NEW or with less than 3 images will not appear in the Posting tool because they cannot be posted to Facebook Marketplace. Stay tuned for updates to this topic!

How often do I need to run the Facebook Posting Tool?

We recommend you run the posting tool and update your marketplace postings whenever you change your website inventory. If you change the information in a listing (e.g. change the price), then you should remove the current posting and repost the unit.

Why does the tool say "Page Not found"?

This message occurs when the posting tool is unable to log in to your Facebook page. Try logging in to your Facebook page with the Chrome browser and correct any errors that come up there, then retry the posting tool.

I want to post a lot of listings at once. Do I need to watch the tool while it posts each one?

Once you select the units you want to post and click Post you can minimize the application so that you can continue working on your other tasks while our tool does its job in the background. Just make sure not to close the tool until the process is completed.

Why did I get an unhandled exception?!

This occurs when your Chrome version is not up-to-date or does not match the version required by the posting tool. Click here to see the Google instructions for updating your Chrome browser.

Why is the tool posting to my personal page?

Facebook discontinued posting vehicles as a business page to Marketplace after January 31, 2023. See more info here.

Why isn't my inventory posting to Facebook Marketplace?

Occasionally the posting tool may say "unable to post" for some units. This may be due to minimum information requirements by Facebook for various unit types. See the table below for your vehicle type to see which fields are required, optional, or unavailable (n/a).

All units require at least 3 entries for Photos. Car/Truck and Motorcycle units also require a Mileage listing between 300 and 1,000,000 miles.
